BERNEDOODLES

A Bernedoodle is a hybrid dog breed that results from crossing a Bernese Mountain Dog with a Poodle. This unique crossbreed combines the desirable traits of both parent breeds, resulting in an adorable and friendly companion.

One of the reasons why we love and breed Bernedoodles vs other doodles is their exceptional temperament. Bernese Mountain Dogs are known for their gentle, calm, affectionate nature, while Poodles are renowned for their intelligence and trainability. The combination of these traits in a Bernedoodle makes them incredibly loving, loyal, and easy to train. They are often excellent with children and other pets, making them an ideal choice for families.

Another advantage of Bernedoodles is their hypoallergenic coat. Poodles are famous for their low-shedding and hypoallergenic coat, which means that Bernedoodles tend to inherit these qualities as well depending on which generation. This makes them a great option for people with allergies or those who prefer a dog with minimal shedding.

Our Bernedoodles also come in a variety of sizes; this versatility allows potential owners to choose a size that fits their lifestyle and living situation.

One of the main reasons someone might want a Bernedoodle is their incredible adaptability. They can thrive in various living environments, from apartments to large houses with yards. Bernedoodles have moderate energy levels and are happy to join their owners for outdoor activities or relax indoors. This adaptability, combined with their friendly and social nature, makes them a fantastic companion for both active individuals and those looking for a calm and affectionate pet.

GENERATIONS EXPLAINATION

Bernedoodle generations refer to the different combinations of parent breeds and their subsequent offspring. The most common generations are F1, F1B, F2, and multigenerational. Each generation has its own characteristics, including hypoallergenic traits, and may be better suited for specific needs.

1. F1 Generation: An F1 Bernedoodle is a first-generation cross between a Bernese Mountain Dog and a Poodle. These dogs typically have a 50% Bernese Mountain Dog and 50% Poodle genetic makeup. While some F1 Bernedoodles may inherit the hypoallergenic and low-shedding coat of the Poodle, others may have a coat that sheds more like a Bernese Mountain Dog.

2. F1B Generation: An F1B Bernedoodle is a cross between an F1 Bernedoodle and a Poodle. This generation is achieved by breeding an F1 Bernedoodle with a Poodle, resulting in puppies that have a higher percentage of Poodle genes. F1B Bernedoodles tend to have a more hypoallergenic coat due to the increased Poodle influence. They are often a great choice for individuals with allergies or those seeking a dog with minimal shedding.

3. Multigen: Multigenerational Bernedoodles are bred from Bernedoodles and/or other Bernedoodle crosses. The goal of multigenerational breeding is to establish more consistent traits and coat characteristics. These generations are more likely to have predictable traits, including hypoallergenic coats.
